Legrand Electric has upgraded its Hypra‚ range of industrial fittings to include plugs, sockets and combined units which feature new seals and a unique dual protection rating.

The new dual protection range also includes combined units specially designed for use in the refrigeration industry, including transport, where a different earth pin position is used to prevent wrong plugs from being inserted.
With a dual protection rating of IP66/67 - 55, the fittings have the scope to meet the demands of any application. Sockets feature a spring-loaded hinge that can remain in the open position for easier operation. IP55 is automatically guaranteed on closure and simple rotation of a locking ring provides IP 66/67 protection if desired.
Socket outlets are available in surface and panel mounting versions and with through wiring or standard fixing centres. The dual protection range also includes straight and angled plugs, mobile sockets and appliance inlets. Combined units incorporate interlocked switch sockets that can be protected by RCD fitted on DIN rail. Other modular protection equipment can also be used.
Designed to operate in the harshest industrial conditions, the new dual protection rated fittings are manufactured from Polyamide 6, a material that is resistant against UV rays, dust, water and chloride. Standard Hypra‚ fittings are also available in metal and plastic.
