Learn about key factors in the Irish Energy sector and network amongst some of the industry's finest at the Energy Ireland Conference 2007. The event takes place at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin on June 11th-12th 2007.
Energy Ireland 2007 takes place at an interesting time for the Irish energy sector. The government has recently completed its consultation on the Energy Green Paper ‘Towards a Sustainable Energy Future for Ireland’ and a follow up white paper is expected in the very near future.
The Green Paper continues to place the development of energy policy in the context of the three pillars of security of supply, environmental sustainability and economic competitiveness. Elsewhere in the sector, work is continuing on the all-island energy market initiative, with the Single Electricity Market due to come into operation in November this year.
These issues have all informed the development of this year’s conference programme with conference sessions on:
- Energy Policy and Strategy - National and European
- Electricity Market Development
- Gas Market Development
- Sustainability and Renewable Energy
- Climate Change
- Security of Supply
Energy Ireland 2007 will examine all the key drivers in the Irish energy sector in detail, offering delegates the opportunity to understand the issues and develop their own thinking through plenary sessions, workshops and interaction. As ever, the conference provides excellent scope for bilateral meetings and networking around the edge of the main conference event.
Important Networking Opportunity Now in its eleventh year, the Energy Ireland conference brings together the key movers and shakers in Irish energy affording them the opportunity to socialise and network as well as engage in the informal discussions that can lead ultimately to real business development.
