Fisuel, the International Federation for the Safety of Electricity Users, held a conference at the headquarters of the NICEIC Group in London on Friday 19th May 2007.

The membership of Fisuel consists of electrical regulatory and safety organisations from various European countries. RECI were represented at the conference by the RECI Chairman, Thomas Heffernan, and RECI General Manager, David McGloughlin.
Fisuel’s purpose is to:
• Help those who wish to set up an inspection system by sharing knowledge between members.
• Improvement and progress for members who already have an inspection system by meetings ,visits, documentation and exchange of experiences.
• Lobby for improvement of electrical safety and for improved compliance with standards both in new and renovated buildings.
