The fifteenth annual general meeting of the Register of Electrical Contractors of Ireland was held on Saturday 26th May at the RECI Training Centre at Kimmage ,Dublin.
At every third AGM all the directors retire from office and are eligible for renomination or election. The following directors were nominated by their respective organisations:
ETCI: Jim Rice
Jerry O’Dwyer
ESB: Senan McGrath
Cormac Madden
AECI: Tommy Heffernan
Mattie Ryan
ECA: Ivan Hammond
Paul Sheridan
The following independent directors were elected by postal ballot:
Leinster: Brian Leavey
Munster: John Desmond
Connaught/Ulster: Matthew Kelly
The Chairman paid tribute to Inspectors Joe Kearns and Martin Hopkins who had retired during the year after fourteen years service and he welcomed new Inspector Tim O’Connor. He also thanked Anthony McGinn who retired from the board during the year due to pressure of work in his own business.
