As you might be aware a proposed unsustainable wage increase of €1.05 per hour has almost agreed to be implemented in the electrical industry.

A group of concerned Electrical Contractors have come together and have temporarily stopped this from been implemented by the Labour Court.

Because of our decisive actions the Labour Court could not implement the €1.05 increase, and are now going to conduct an Open Hearing on Thursday 22nd May at 11.00 a.m., on which date we intend to stage a National Electrical Contractors Protest at the Labour Court.

On that date the court shall consider our applications and shall hear all persons desiring to be heard.

We would ask All Electrical Contractors to come out and protest on that day no matter what Association or Organisation they belong to, and whether RECI or ECSSA members.

This will also affect you and your businesses as more and more Electrical Contractors will be forced out of the industry, reducing your customers and even jeopardizing your livelihoods as they will no longer be able to pay their accounts to you.

With this in mind I would ask you to stand firmly with us as we fight for our livelihoods.
