Since 2007, more than 140,000 construction jobs have been lost in Ireland, with employment in the sector dropping from 270,000 to 130,000. Recently, representatives from IBEC, ICTU, Dublin Chamber of Commerce and the Construction Industry Council joined together to call on Government to reinvigorate the economy by investing in Ireland’s infrastructure.
