The Electro-Technical Council of Ireland (ETCI - www.etci.ie) has agreed to establish a new technical committee, TC20, covering smart grids, renewables, electric vehicles and energy efficiency:
The committee will be a national forum for Irish experts to participate in the ambitious standardisation programmes of the IEC and CENELEC. The IEC's smart grids portal is an excellent introduction to the extensive global standardisation endeavour already under way, and to which TC20 members will have exclusive access.
