Schneider Electric is delighted to announce that it has scooped the ‘best new product' category for its revolutionary SEMS product at Scotland's prestigious SELECT Electrotechnical Awards.
The influential SELECT awards took place on Friday 7 October in a glittering dinner ceremony held in Glasgow. Widely viewed as one of the most important calender events for the electrical and electronics industries, the awards recognise and reward industry excellence. Notably, this year saw a record number of entries making the judging process more difficult than ever before. For its winning entry, Schneider Electric submitted the recently launched SEMS (Simple Energy Management Solution). Completely unique to market, SEMS combines all of the inherently independent mechanisms of metering, monitoring and simple control with a straightforward user interface for information to create one complete solution. Specifically designed for use in SMEs, it has made the once complex issue of energy data visibility for smaller buildings easier than ever before. David Lewis, Marketing Development Manager for energy efficiency at Schneider Electric comments: “As the global specialist in energy management, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. With this in mind, we placed significant investment in developing the SEMS to meet the unique energy-management demands of the small commercial market, resulting in an extraordinary product which we are very proud of.” He adds: “As the competition was even fiercer than usual this year, we were absolutely thrilled to find out we had won. It is a massive accolade and a testament to the hard work of everyone who has been involved in the project, helping us to continue to make global environmental aims a reality.” For further information about Schneider Electric please visit www.schneider-electric.com/uk or call 0870 608 8 608.
