To meet demand for sustainable low carbon heating solutions, Dimplex has introduced an Accredited Installer programme for its range of air source heat pumps. The scheme, which includes a comprehensive two day training course, is open to experienced heating, plumbing, electrical and HVAC installers, giving them the opportunity to join the Dimplex installer network and be approved to install the UK’s widest range of air source heat pumps.

The new scheme facilitates access to a new and profitable stream of business generated by the growing interest in air source heat pumps in the UK. A short exam at the end of the course must be completed successfully before accreditation, to ensure that each Dimplex air source heat pump system is expertly designed and installed, to maintain Dimplex’s commitment to exceptional quality standards.

“Air source heat pumps are an ideal technology for heating professionals to expand their businesses into the renewables sector,” comments Chris Davis, head of renewables at Dimplex. “The scheme and training courses give the trade the opportunity to get involved in this fundamental shift in heating and open the door to a profitable and growing market.”

As well as the right to market themselves as a Dimplex Accredited Installer, the scheme provides exclusive access to post-installation commissioning services, extended warranties, full Dimplex technical support services, and a free website listing and marketing support pack. What’s more, once a company has successfully become an accredited installer, vouchers for a cash back against their first purchase and free commissioning mean that the £395 application fee is fully refunded.

One day courses are also available to give specifiers and other building professionals an overview of heat pump technology and system design. These courses can be tailored closely to suit the requirements of the participants.

Courses take place on a monthly basis in Inverness and Chesterfield, with courses in Southampton available from autumn 2007.
