Take the fast track with Schneider Electric Canalis KDP
Canalis KDP combines speed with safety. With its remarkably flexible and compact design, it is very easy to fit in a hanging ceiling or raised floor, while access points are available wherever they are required. There is also a specific connector for lighting control. The fixing can be adapted to building structure and clipped onto a wire basket, cable tray or concrete beams.

Increased safety is also a key factor. In fact, the trunking boasts IP55 protection, meaning it is splash-proof and protected from dust so that it can be installed in all types of buildings. It is a product designed to protect people and equipment, being free of any halogen products so that it does not release fumes or toxic gases in the event of a fire.

With time of essence for most contactors, KDP has significant labour time reductions, by eliminating cabling errors and saving one hour assembly time per control point. The result is quicker and therefore lowers labour costs across the complete building. If cost is a factor, it is fully recyclable so it can be dismantled and re-used; in addition it is cheaper than cable too.

Canalis busbar is suitable for a wide remit of properties that are frequently being restyled to suit changing needs of the user including retail and office environments as well as factories or warehouses, hospitals and sports centres. For utmost versatility, there is an extensive range of trunking available with power ratings between 20 to 5000 amps, ideally suited for lighting as well as small, medium and heavy power requirements.

In keeping with Schneider Electric’s inherent one-stop-shop approach, Canalis KDP is part of a comprehensive suite of cable management products that are co-ordinated to meet all medium and low power electrical distribution requirements.

Darren Maher, product manager comments “Although sometimes overlooked, the method used to distribute power and lighting around the building can have significant impact on the property user’s business in terms of the quality of installation, service continuity and upgradeability.

“With this in mind, we have developed Canalis KDP to offer busy contractors not only a faster solution but true flexibility, whereby they can make changes easily and with minimum disruption.
