Doncaster builder, Ian Sanderson, is hoping to be back on the road soon thanks to winning the Adaptaflex prize in the Voltimum Christmas promotion.

Adaptaflex, the leading supplier of metallic and non-metallic conduit fittings in the UK, regularly sponsor the Voltimum site and were delighted to offer a TomTom satellite navigation system to one lucky industry winner. A regular user of the Voltimum portal, Ian was particularly keen to try his luck on the Advent Calendar competition and was delighted to win the Adaptaflex prize.
“I recently broke my shoulder while mountain biking and was unable to work for five weeks – very bad news when you’re self-employed” comments Ian, who has been running his own building company in Doncaster since 1990.
Working mainly on local residential building projects, he has built up the successful business after starting his working life as an Electrician and spending a short spell as a Miner.
”Business is very brisk at the moment, due to the housing market slowing down and people choosing to extend their existing homes. Having built up a substantial client base, I will be a lot happier when I can get back to work and start using my prize”.
“I’m a still a keen mountain biker, which involves a fair bit of travelling around so the Tom Tom satellite navigation system will come in handy both for the business and for my hobby” he said.
“Now that my shoulder is healing up nicely, I am looking forward to getting back on my bike and back to work!”
