A brief history of Nexans in Ireland:

1972 Plant established. Low voltage Mains Cable

• 1976 Plant expanded

• 1982 Canada Wire purchase 49 % of equity; Factory 2 added

• 1991 Alcatel Purchase Irish Cable & Wire.

• 1996 Small Armoured Cable facility added

• 1998 Irish Cable & wire becomes Alcatel Irish Cable

• 2000 Alcatel Irish Cable becomes Nexans Ireland Ltd
