ABB was established in Ireland in the mid 1940’s. The company has an international tradition of engineering, service and innovation excellence and is the world leader in electrical power generation, transmission, distribution and control equipment. In Ireland ABB currently employs over 151 people in five locations including Dublin, Cork, Lisburn, Waterford and Dundalk.
To improve their customers' profitability, ABB serves them with energy efficient and reliable products, including drives, robots, motors and generators, low voltage products, instrumentation and analytical and power electronics. More than one million products are shipped daily to end customers and channel partners, spanning a wide range of industry and utility operations, plus commercial and residential buildings.
ABB operates a countrywide maintenance and service organisation in Ireland, providing a number of different packages tailored specifically to customers' needs.
