Save energy and cost with Horstmann’s Electrisaver

Cold weather means increased use of additional electric heating appliances and boosting of water heating, using immersion heaters for example.

Save energy and cost with Horstmann’s Electrisaver

But if these appliances are accidentally left on, energy is wasted and there is a nasty shock in store when the utilities bill arrives.

Cue the Horstmann Controls ‘Electrisaver’ – a push button electronic timer for short term power boosting.  It has a 3kW load switching capability which makes it ideal for electrical equipment such as panel heaters, immersion heaters, heated towel rails and oil filled radiators, just the sort of appliances often used in hotels, offices, student accommodation and in the home … and often forgotten!

Three models of Electrisaver are now available; The Model E15 offers 15, 30 or 60 minute time period options, Model E30 offers 30, 60 and 120 minute durations while the new E246 offers 2, 4 or 6 hour options.

“It is a simple, push button operated controller that can prove invaluable for controlling electrical equipment that is easily forgotten,” explains Paul Lovegrove, Horstmann Controls sales manager.

“Equipment such as immersion heaters and panel heaters are often needed for relatively short periods but overlooked and left active – which can be very costly.  The Electrisaver overcomes that problem and will pay for itself time and again in reducing fuel bills and wasted energy.”

The compact, easy to install unit can be flush or surface mounted with a single gang moulded box (not supplied).  It is recommended that in most installations a double pole isolator switch should be incorporated in the fixed wiring.
