Hugh Dennis will perform at ECA Annual Awards and Gala Dinner

Arguably the liveliest night in our industry calendar, the ECA Gala Dinner presents a great opportunity to meet existing industry friends and associates and also establish new business relationships, whilst not taking things too seriously.

The event, which is also the home of the ECA Annual Awards, is also an opportunity to celebrate industry excellence whilst enjoying a three course ‘black-tie’ dining experience and some quality live music and entertainment.

Last year’s event, which was held at the Celtic Manor, South Wales received rave reports and industry-wide coverage. We’ve challenged ourselves to deliver an even better event is 2017.

This year, set in the heart of the capital, at the new ‘next-generation’ design-led  4* London Hilton Bankside Hotel. The hotel is a stone’s throw from some of London’s most popular landmarks including the Tate Modern, London Eye, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard and Borough Market.  It also offers guests the highest quality amenities including a state-of-art gym and spa.

The ECA has negotiated preferential ‘bed and breakfast’ rates at the Hilton as well as the nearby ibis Hotel. However, supply is limited to don’t wait too long. There are also a number of other hotels within an easily commutable distance if desired.

Entertainment

Leading UK comedian, impressionist, actor and voice-over artist Hugh Dennis will be hosting and performing for guests at this year’s event and also presenting the ECA Annual Awards. Dennis is best known for his star turn on BBC sitcom Outnumbered and satirical comedy show Mock the Week.

Attendees will also enjoy a range of additional entertainment including hosting and commentary from Alan Dedicoat – the voice of The National Lottery and Strictly Come Dancing. Joey the Lips, a 10 piece funk band who have played over 1000 gigs and supported acts such as Will Young and Bob Geldof will also be adding to the atmosphere.

Guests will also be able to capture memories at the event photobooth with props that can be printed or directly posted to social media for all to see.

As in previous year, the ECA has committed to support the Electrical Industries Charity draw to raise money for those in need within our industry. Rounding up the evening, a DJ has been booked to keep the celebrations going until late into the night.
