Megger’s newly updated MFT1700 range of multifunction installation testers (MFTs) wins the award for Innovative Test & Measurement Product of the Year at the Electrical Industry Awards 2016,
A key characteristic of the new Megger MFT models, which clearly impressed the expert panel of independent judges, is that they provide valuable extra features that help users to save time and money. Examples of these features are automatic RCD testing, true RMS voltage measurement and automatic Zmax functionality.

To meet the requirements and budget of every electrical contractor, Megger’s award-winning multifunction testers are available in three versions. The MFT1711 is a cost-effective choice for routine installation testing on single-phase systems. As well as automatic RCD testing and true RMS voltage measurement, it can also test RCDs with standard sensitivity ratings from 10 mA to 500 mA and, for types with intermediate sensitivities, it has a variable RCD test facility. These advanced features were previously only available on more costly instruments.
The MFT1721 is ideal for contractors whose work includes three-phase systems and solar power installations, while maximum versatility and convenience is provided by the top-of-the-range MFT1731. This not only has advanced facilities for measuring earth resistance, with a choice of three different techniques, but also internal memory for storing test results and support for convenient Bluetooth downloading.
All of Megger’s MFT1700-series instruments incorporate a straightforward user interface for fast easy operation, robust construction to withstand the knocks and tumbles of everyday use, comprehensive electrical protection, and an extensive range of safety features, including a CAT IV 300 V/CAT III 600 V safety rating in line with IEC 61010.
