Nexans NX200 Plus enhanced fire resistant cable gains full LPCB and BASEC approval

Fire resistant cables are classified according to how long they can continue to operate during a fire to enable essentail life safety systems (fire alarms, voice/audio alarms and smoke extraction etc) to continue functioning in highly critical conditions.  Enhanced cables are used where phased evacuation is required, such as in hospitals, schools and high-rise buildings.  To this end Nexans NX200 Plus enhanced cables is manufactured in accordance with BS5839-8434 part 2, PH120 and fully LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) and BASEC (British Approvals Service for Cables) approved.

Launched earlier this year the NX200plus enhanced cables are part of the Alsecure range of fire resistant cables from Nexans, the full range includes NX200 standard fire resistant cables, NX100 single core for conduit applications and NX400 armoured power cable.
