The Variation, which went into effect Friday May 11th, 2007 provides for revised wages and subsistence rates.

Pursuant to Section 28 of the Industrial Relations Act, 1946, the Labour Court has made a Variation Order varying an Employment Agreement registered under the Act relating to workers covered by the Employment Agreement for Electrical Contracting Industry.
A copy of the Agreement can be found by clicking on the REA for the Electrical Contracting Industry PDF link below.
It can also be supplied to any interested person on application to the Registered Agreements Section, The Labour Court and is available on the Labour Court website at www.labourcourt.ie.
ATTENTION IS CALLED TO THE FACT THAT THE EMPLOYER OF ANY WORKER TO WHOM THE AGREEMENT RELATES IS LEGALLY BOUND TO GRANT THAT WORKER RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT AT LEAST AS FAVOURABLE AS THOSE LAID DOWN BY THE AGREEMENT AS VARIED, WHETHER OR NOT THE EMPLOYER OR THE WORKER IS A PARTY TO THE AGREEMENT.
