Omega Pro is a striking LED edge lit flat panel range with outstanding glare control to offer a unique combination of comfort and style for office and education lighting.
Fitted with a Glare ProTech prismatic optic, Omega Pro is an extension to Thorn's existing Omega range. It delivers class leading performance to reduce screen glare and exceeds the requirements of EN12464 for increased comfort for all users in the space. With a unified glare ratio (UGR) of less than 19 in any room size and an illuminance of 2500 cd/m2 at 3500lm (42W), Omega Pro offers a genuine direct replacement for 4x14W T16 recessed luminaires.
Just 12 mm thick, Omega Pro's edge lit panels provide smooth, sleek and slim line styling for discreet and easy integration with a bright and ultra modern aesthetic. Pure aesthetics combined with slim flat panels of light open endless possibilities for creative lighting design. This is further emphasized by availability in various sizes, dimming and integrated emergency options.
Omega Pro is fitted with high performance, low maintenance and highly efficient LEDs (84 Llm/W) which reduce energy consumption by up to 55%, compared to fluorescent alternatives. The unique photometry allows for a wide light distribution and therefore high uniformity and excellent wall as well as ceiling luminances with very high colour quality (CRI 80) and stability (5-step MacAdam ellipse).
In turn, this performance also allows existing fluorescent luminaires to be directly replaced with an equal or smaller number of Omega Pro fittings to further reduce total energy consumption.
Omega Pro has the same white frame design as its sister product, Omega LED, which has a UGR of less than 22 and is suitable for corridors, retail and circulation areas. Combined, the Omega fittings offer a comprehensive edge lit range for all applications and task areas with multiple installation options and a single design aesthetic.
Omega Pro's installation options include exposed and concealed T-grid systems, as well as surface and suspended options. Dimming and integrated emergency options are also available.
