Voltimum partnered up with Lux Magazine and the Lighting Industry Association for LuxLive 2012, an exciting and comprehensive lighting exhibition that took place 6-7 November in Earls Court, London. The show attracted more than 5,000 visitors and brought together over 150 exhibitors plus expert presentations. Visitors included nearly 500 end users of lighting who came along to see what products are on offer and do deals. LuxLive 2012 welcomed visitors from big names such as Asda, B&Q, Estée Lauder, McDonald’s, Odeon Cinemas, M&S, Foster and Partners, Gatwick Airport, Land Securities, Network Rail, the National Theatre, Pets at Home, Sainsburys, Selfridges, Sotheby’s, Harrods, P&O, Transport for London, and numerous local authorities and NHS trusts.
More than 100 exhibitors showed off their kit and dozens of speakers shared their experiences and expertise with the audience in almost 50 hours of talks, seminars, clinics, product demos and the LuxLive Dragons’ Den.
On the evening of the first day, the Lux Awards took place at the Natural History Museum, where the industry’s best and brightest were recognised. Among others, Waitrose were crowned Client of the Year for their commitment to energy efficiency and Nigel Harvey of Recolight was named Lux Person of the Year (click here for the full list of winners).
Organiser Ray Molony said: “Energy-efficient lighting is a hugely exciting business to be in at the moment. There’s a massive opportunity for organisations to cut their energy use and save money while making their buildings and outdoor areas better places to be.”
